It seems Europe and Israel will benefit from the new United Airlines Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, with the airline announcing route introductions and switch-overs.

So, where and when is the United 787-10’s heading? The aircraft will be based out of Newark, with six destinations on the cards

  • Frankfurt – 30th March 2019
  • Tel Aviv  – 30th March 2019
  • Paris – 29th April 2019
  • Barcelona – 29th April 2019
  • Brussels – 22nd May 2019
  • Dublin – 22nd May 2019

For those interested in times and flight numbers, the airline has published them too:

The new Boeing 787-10 aircraft are configured with:

  • 44 United Polaris (Business Class) seats in a 1-2-1 formation
  • 21 Premium Plus seats (Premium Economy) in a 2-3-2 formation
  • 54 Economy Plus seats (Extra Space Economy) with a 3-3-3 configuration
  • 199 Economy Seats with a 3-3-3 configuration

Tickets for these routes go on sale on the 3rd December, with travel starting on the 30th March 2019 onward.

On the announcement, Patrick Quayle, United’s Vice President of International Network stated:

“United is proud to offer more seats between >New York and Europe than any other carrier and our Boeing 787-10 aircraft based in New York/Newark will enable us to connect even more New York City customers to Europe and beyond,”

“We are thrilled to announce six international cities that will be served with this aircraft and we look forward to offering our customers all of the comforts and services of our most advanced aircraft.”

With the introduction of the 787-10, there are some interesting options both in routes, and in the passenger experience you want to try – with the Premium Pus seats opening some interesting markets and possibilities.

In addition, United Airlines is investing on-board, with updated light patterns to mimic sunrise and sunset to help passengers adjust, along with a new In-Flight Entertainment system to be installed – featuring split screen capability, a “relax” function for those who want audio playlists to fall asleep to, provision for hearing and mobility issues, as well as some AI into how long you have left in flight, and what can be watched.

The Boeing 787-10 aircraft will initially debut on the Newark to Los Angeles/Newark to San Francisco pair – before heading onto Europe.
