SNAPSHOT: Eurostar 9116 London St Pancras to Brussels Midi in Standard Premier

19/12/2018 by Kevincm

Time for another snapshot – this time looking at the passenger experience between London St Pancras and  Brussels Midi.

For those of you who are new to the blog:

  • Trip Reports – These are full deep-dive reports taking you into the experience and the small things… as well as the big things!
  • Snapshots – These are bite-sized reviews that show you the basic product in some nice gentle headlines (and normally, only images shot on the phone)

Onwards to the Eurostar 9116 experience.

Check-in

Check in was done over the phone and app.

Once that done, and a boarding pass generated I was able to clear the main check-in area at London St Pancras.

For those who need a paper ticket generated, head to the ticket off and they can create you one.

Once you have your tickets, you can clear the entrance barrier

From here you clear in quick succession:

  • UK Exit Border Controls
  • EU/French Entry Border Control

The Route

This would be a stopping service to Brussels, calling at Ebbsfleet International, Calais Frethun, Lille Europe and Brussels Midi/Zuid, covering the distance in 2 hours and 11 minutes.

On-Board Entertainment

Onboard entertainment was streamable via the Eurostar app. Overhead screens showed the progress of the journey, as well as security announcements.
