We’ve all seen the 2000 Avois for €19 offer haven’t we (there’s a new variant going around of it today ) But how does it pan out in the real world?
I’m a sucker for cheap extra Avios (be it via flying or other methods – so I decided to put myself through the pain … so you all know what some of the pitfalls and positives are.
Well I decided to splurge €19 in the name of science to find out.
So – to do this – you’re going to need:
- Google Chrome (or another browser that has built-in translation… unless your Spanish is excellent)
- An activated Iberia Plus account (one that has been active for more than 90 days)
That’s more than a little easier
At this point, you log in (and you may have to create a Groupon Spain account – I just did for convince sake.
I added the 2,000 Avios for €19 in my basket). And followed through the payment wizard.
To cheat, I used PayPal – just for convenience purposes. If I was on the full-on masochistic experience – I could had used a Credit Card or Curve, but the 2,000 Avios packages do move rather quickly normally. I chose to play it safe
After a couple of minutes, I got a confirmation from Groupon (as well as a bunch of emails in my account
Well – they’re there. I’m going to give a few hours before I continue this adventure.
And hopefully the Avios will end up in my Iberia Account.
How?
Stay tuned for Part II (Now live!)
