It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
This week (and to tie in with the 35th Anniversary of the airline) we have a Virgin Atlantic Airbus A340-600 at London Heathrow Terminal 3 as it awaits its next duty as it soaks up the morning sun.
Virgin Atlantic currently operate a fleet of five Airbus A340-600 aircraft in its long haul fleet. These work alongside the Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330-300, Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft operated by the airline out of the airlines hubs – with the A340-600s concentrated at Heathrow.
The aircraft depicted here – G-VRED (or Scarlet Lady) was delivered in 2006, and has remained with the airline since. It operates in a three-class configuration with Upper Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
More airplane art next week!
