Turkish Airlines joins the Boeing 787 Dreamliner club, with the delivery of its first 787-9.

This is the first of 25 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft that will join the airlines long haul fleet.
The aircraft will be configured in a two-class configuration, with 30 Business Class seats (a variant of the Stelia Aerospace Solysts III seat – branded as Aurora) and 270 Economy Class seats – a total of 300 in total.

The plane will also feature Turkish produced content for the interior – with the long haul economy class seats and business class monuments produced in Turkey.
In terms of networks, it is expected to launch new routes such as Bali, Bogota-Panama, Washington and Atlanta from Istanbul airport – within the range of the 787-9, which is rated at 7,635 nautical miles.

Fleet Expansions
With more aircraft due from Boeing and Airbus, Turkish Airlines are continuing their pursuit of renewal and expansion (indeed – the airline has deliveries of, A350 and 787-9 aircraft, as well as narrow body frames).
With new frames and new on-board products, they look to be an interesting option when they enter service.
