Japan Airlines rolls out new amenity kits

30/08/2019 by Kevincm

Amenity kits can be many things – it can be a useful aid en-route when travelling, a memory of travel beyond travel or as a collectable

Japan Airlines have updated their amenity kits for its international business class routes, introducing a kit by Maison Kitsuné and Beams.

And which one you’ll get depends on which direction of travel you’re doing.

Flights arriving into Japan

The amenity kit is designed in collaboration with Beams. The kit will feature a unique pattern found in popular clothing materials and will introduce a new design every 3 months, as with the four seasons of Japan.

Flights departing Japan

A kit designed with Maison Kitsuné – a fashion brand that expresses a fusion of modern and culture. This will be their first collaboration to create an amenity kit for the airline industry.

All kits will contain a Toothbrush, Earplugs, Eye Mask, Tissue, Moisturising Face Mask and a Maison Kitsuné Lip Balm (but surprisingly – no pen).

The new amenity kit rolls out from the end of August 2019 on the following routes

  • Tokyo Narita – Chicago, Dallas Fort Worth, Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Diego, Vancouver, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Moscow, Sydney, Melbourne
  • Tokyo Haneda – New York, San Francisco, London, Paris
  • Osaka Kansai – Los Angeles

Cool kits, but what’s inside isn’t exciting at all. They are offering the bare minimum. ANA’s amenities kit has JAL licked.
