Panasonic Aerospace ARC Maps was announced at Aircraft Interiors Expo in April this year. Now, at APEX Expo, the first customer has been announced – and it’s Vistara. T
hey will launch this and Games – part of the Panasonic Aerospace Theatre solution
Arc and Games are newly-launched entertainment solutions developed by Panasonic to create an immersive and engaging travel experience for the 4 billion passengers that fly each year. Panasonic Arc Maps are a new take on a personalized 3D in-flight map application, which will integrate into Panasonic’s in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) systems. The system can integrate into the Panasonic NEXT Cloud Platform, allowing to work with the Theatre and Market solutions.
What’s special about Arc? Personalisation remains the name of the game, with the maps delivered as a”Map-as-a-Service” technology that enables the development of applications utilising the map engine and feature set, premium destination and point-of-interest content, monetization opportunities for airlines through Panasonic’s Marketplace e-commerce platform, and the ability to integrate with airline advertising and promotions.

The Games platform was launched at the same time as Arc and again – integrates into the Pansonic Theatre and NEXT Cloud.
Arc can be integrated into all types of displays including seatback, overhead, handset, and within mobile apps, whilst able to work with different datasets, allowing for a customised experience.
