Snapshot: Hyatt Regency O’Hare

07/11/2019 by Kevincm

Time for another snapshot – this time focusing on the hotel experience at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, in Rosemont – near Chicago O’Hare International.

For those of you who are new to the blog:

  • Trip Reports – These are full deep-dive reports taking you into the experience and the small things… as well as the big things!
  • Snapshots – These are bite-sized reviews that show you the basic product in some nice gentle headlines (and normally, only images shot on the phone)

Getting there

The hotel has a shuttle that runs around every 15 minutes between the airport and hotel. Alternatively, the Rosemont station Blue line is a 10 minute walk away.

Check-in

Check in was at the usual level, with the process handled. Whilst a request for a high room was handled, a view over the front of the hotel was allocated rather than over the city.

The Room

The room is the typical refurbished Hyatt Regency O’Hare room, in a twin double bed configuration.

The room was located in the main block of the hotel, that we than the executive wing

Bathroom

The usual bath/shower, toilet and sink are present here, with the updated Hyatt pharmacopia products.

Issues

The biggest issue during the stay was when the water went out in the main building for over two hours.

Less than optimal.

Check-out

Check out was handled quickly, and it took around 5 business days for the hold charges to be refunded.
