If it’s a season change, it must be time for Japan Airlines to announce a new partnership – this time with Dean and Deluca.
Japan Airlines (JAL) and Welcome Co., Ltd., operators of DEAN & DELUCA Japan, will collaborate to develop an exclusive inflight meal on select flights to North America, Europe, and Australia, starting December 1, 2019.
These will be offered in Premium Economy or Economy Class, and offered between 1 December 2019 to 29 February 2020.
The meal itself features a spicy cajun flavoured chicken over turmeric rice and comes with a side of fresh coleslaw with Coffee Jelly with Sweetened Milk for desert.

As usual, the Dean and Deluca dish will be offered as a second service.
It will be offered on flights
- From Tokyo (Narita) to Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Diego, Vancouver, Frankfurt, Helsinki, and Melbourne
- From Tokyo (Haneda) to New York, San Francisco, London (JL043), and Paris
- From Osaka (Kansai) to Los Angeles
Differing options
It’s always good to see Japan Airlines trying to innovate and be different in its second service offering, be it with MOS Burger or other companies.
