SNAPSHOT: British Airways 478 London Heathrow to Barcelona El Prat

18/12/2019 by Kevincm

It’s time for another snapshot – this time focusing on the passenger experience aboard British Airways 478 between London Heathrow and Barcelona El Prat

For those of you who are new to the blog, we have two major travel writing styles:

  • Trip Reports – These are full deep-dive reports taking you into the experience and the small things… as well as the big things!
  • Snapshots – These are bite-sized reviews that show you the basic product in some nice gentle headlines (and normally, only images shot on the phone

So onwards with the experience.

Check-in

Check-in was carried out at Heathrow Terminal 3. Boarding passes were issued for both the outbound and return leg.

We cleared security at the FastTrack security area. This was completed for both of us in under five minutes.

For convenience, the British Airways Galleries business class lounge was used.

Catering

As I was in the Club Europe cabin, a meal was included. This was a choice of a continental breakfast or a full English breakfast.

Landing

The aircraft made the approach to Barcelona via the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, before landing at Barcelona El Prat.

The aircraft docked at the D gates, with a jet bridge connection to the terminal.
