Etihad is to add a new destination to its Spanish network – with Malaga joining for the summer.
The airline will operate three times a week for the summer.
The flight will operate as a tag-on flight for its Abu Dhabi to Rabat flight.
Planned operation is as follows

The route will be operated by a Three-Class Boeing 787-9, with 8 First Class Suites, 28 Business Class seats and 190 Economy Class seats.
It also creates additional cargo belly space to Spain.
Etihad argues that the deployment to this area is down to a Schengen visa waiver for UAE citizens – although, a holiday destination to Malaga could never be a bad thing.

Robin Kamark, Chief Commercial Officer, Etihad Aviation Group, said
“Malaga has been on our wish-list for some time and we are tremendously pleased to announce summer season services to the Costa del Sol, a region which for decades has been popular with travellers from across the United Arab Emirates. This will be the only service between the UAE and the main gateway to Andalucía.
“Together with Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga will be Etihad’s third destination in Spain, further boosting our successful operations to the Iberian Peninsula. The new flights will be operated by our next-generation 787 Dreamliners, ensuring we provide the best product and service to our customers heading on business or on holiday.”
Tickets are on sale for the route, for flights in the summer 2020 season.
