With people on the move as we close in on the New Luna Year (and the dawn of the Year of the Rat), Finnair is joining in the Chinese New Year celebrations with a limited edition amenity kit.

The case for the kit and the blindfold is of course – red (signifying good luck – and you never know when you need luck in the coming lunar year).
The design is by Finnair’s partner when it comes to in-flight look and feel – Marimekko. This time however, the traditional blues have been swapped out with tones of red for all the luck in the world.
The limited-edition kit will be available on routes connecting from Helsinki to
- Greater China
- Hong Kong
- Singapore
Other Finnair routes will receive the usual Finnair/Marimekko amenity kits in white and blue.
Inside the kit, it will feature the usual L:a Bruket skincare products that feature in the normal Finnair amenity kit, as well as earplugs and a toothbrush
There’s also a limited time to get these business class kits – from 20th January to 9th February inclusive.
Celebrating the Year of the Rat
It seems that Finnair wants it’s business class customers to have good fortune over the year ahead with this rather stylish kit.
It’s filled with the usual Finnair amenity kit items and would make a cute souvenir if you’re travelling over the New Year Period.
And there’s a lot of people travelling over this period as people travel back to their families and traditional homes.
Having a little something in red should help bring a little luck over the upcoming holiday.
