The change will come in on Midnight, Friday 13th March.

There will be some exemptions for US Citizens, who have gone through screening before being allowed back to the United States.

Travel between the United Kingdom and United States will be allowed for now.

President Trump stated

“To keep new cases from entering our shores, we will be suspending all travel from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days,”

“The new rules will go into effect Friday at midnight,” he added.

Let’s be honest – this is unprecedented

If there is unknown territory, we are now firmly in it. Expect airlines to react in the morning as their Trans-Atlantic/North American networks will be decimated and new policies put in place.

Expect protests, reaction and further impacts as this shakes out.

A personal appeal

I posted this on Twitter earlier – and I feel I need to repeat it here.

An appeal. Over the next few days, there’s going to be a lot of flared emotions, anger, delays and reroutes.

Please don’t blame the airline or the agent you’re taking to.

They weren’t the ones to change the rules of travel.
