It seems there is good news for people who need to move or get home – with Emirates announcing it is to allow transit passengers, following the lifting of restrictions being lifted by the UAE Federal Government
16 more cities will regain Emirates services.

The following will be available from the 15th of June:
- Bahrain (Kingdom of Bahrain)
- Manchester (United Kingdom)
- Zurich (Switzerland)
- Vienna (Austria)
- Amsterdam (Netherlands)
- Copenhagen (Denmark)
- Dublin (Ireland)
- New York JFK (USA)
- Seoul (South Korea)
- Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
- Singapore
- Jakarta (Indonesia)
- Taipei (Taiwan)
- Hong Kong
- Perth (Australia)
- Brisbane (Australia)
In addition, from 8th June the airline will also offer the following destinations from Pakistan who need to connect onwards
- Karachi
- Lahore
- Islamabad
This will bring Emirates up to 29 scheduled destinations. The following destinations are currently in service
- London Heathrow (United Kingdom)
- Frankfurt (Germany)
- Paris (France)
- Milan (Italy)
- Madrid (Spain)
- Chicago (United States of America)
- Toronto (Canada)
- Sydney (Australia)
- Melbourne (Australia)
- Manila (The Philippines from 11th June)

Currently, all routes are operated with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Bookings will be accepted via emirates.com or your travel agent.
However, it is important to note that travel restrictions remaining in place in most countries – and you need to check the check entry and exit requirements of your destination before you book or commence your journeys.
It goes without saying there are health and safety measures that both the airline and yourself will need to take, both on the ground and in the air. The airline will distribute complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes to all customers.
Rebuilding the network
Emirates so far has been focused on cargo operations. It seems the schedule cargo operation, on top of the lift of restrictions, is allowing the airline to restart services in a very controlled manner, allowing to fly expensive cargo along with passengers to destinations that need the links back.
