It’s Tuesday and it’s still my week off – so it’s time for some more airplane art.
This time we have an US Airways Airbus A321-200 arriving at its home of Phoenix Sky Harbour Airport, which would form the onward service to New York-JFK.
US Airways, of course, merged with American Airlines – this aircraft was flying for the merged entity at that time in 2015 (and when I was flying back from Hawaii). The airline was of course well known for its majority-Airbus fleet, with it operating a massive fleet of 93 Airbus A319, 56 Airbus A320 and 114 Airbus A321.
The airline operated a number of Airbus A330-200 and A330-300, along with some Boeing 757-200s and Embraer E190 aircraft at the time it merged with American Airlines.
More airplane art tomorrow.
