It seems that Wizz Air is continuing its expansion, with the airline planning to open a new base at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.

This will be the second UK base for Wizz Air UK – the group’s UK-registered and based airline (alongside London Luton). The airline will be base one Airbus A320 at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
In terms of routes, it plans to launch seven new routes, along with the ten that are already operated by the airline, adding 150,000 extra seats.
Wizz Air has operated from Doncaster Sheffield Airport over 14 years ago and is the airports largest carrier.
The new routes planned include:
- Alicante (Spain)
- Malaga (Spain)
- Larnaca (Cyprus)
- Faro (Portugal)
- Lublin (Poland)
- Kosice (Slovakia )
- Suceava (Romania)
Tickets are on sale, with a lead-in price of £17.99.
