Network build-out continues to be important for Emirates, as it continues its recovery.
The airline announced that it is to add five more destinations back to its European network.

So, what’s coming back?
- Budapest (from 21 October), twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays
- Bologna (1st November), twice a week Fridays and Sundays
- Dusseldorf (1st November), twice a week Fridays and Sundays
- Hamburg (1st November), twice a week Fridays and Sundays
- Lyon (4th November), twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays
Emirates continues to deploy its Boeing 777-300ER on these routes, providing both passenger capacity and precious cargo capacity in all directions
Tickets can be obtained via Emirates.com, through Emirates sales channels or travel agents as needed.
Don’t forget to test before you go, or transit Dubai.
COVID-19 PCR tests are mandatory for all inbound and transit passengers arriving at Dubai (and the UAE), including UAE citizens, residents and tourists, irrespective of the country they are coming from.
Dubai is also open to visitors, so for those who wish to stop over, you can. Check the entry requirements
Passengers must meet all the entry requirements their destinations – so plan appropriately
Emirates customers who require a COVID-19 PCR test certificate before departure from Dubai can avail of special rates at the American Hospital and their satellite clinics across Dubai by simply presenting their ticket or boarding pass. Home or office testing is also available, with results in 48 hours.
The destinations return, but the frequencies are low
With some of these destinations previously getting twice-daily services a day (and with Airbus A380 aircraft no less), frequency and capacity remain hobbled thanks to the Human Malware.
As Emirates seeks to rebuild its network, balancing the network will be a challenge.
It will be down to the consumer if they can fill these aircraft if the airline will add more frequencies.
