It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
This week, we have a Singapore Airlines Airbus A380, resting at its home base of Changi Airport as it is turned around for its next duty.
Singapore Airlines operate 19 Airbus A380 aircraft – with plans to downsize the fleet to 12. The airline also operates the Airbus A330-300, Airbus A350-900, Airbus A350-900ULR, Boeing 777-200ER, Boeing 777-300, Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787-10 in its medium to long haul fleet. The airline also operates the Boeing 737-800 on its short to medium haul route, as it absorbs SilkAir into the mainline brand.
This aircraft – 9J-SKJ was the 45th Airbus A380 built. It was delivered to Singapore Airlines in September 2009 – with the aircraft parked in July 2020. It has a four-cabin layout installed, as per the rest of the Singapore Airlines fleet.
More Airplane art next week!
