It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
This week, we have an Asiana Airlines Boeing 777-200ER resting at the gate at Chicago O’Hare International Airport after completing the long flight from Seoul Incheon.
Asiana Airlines retains a fleet of nine Boeing 777-200ER aircraft in its long haul fleet. The airline also operates the Airbus A330-300, Airbus A350-900, Airbus A380, a singular Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 767-300ER to support the Boeing 777-200ER aircraft
This aircraft – HL7775 – has been retained by Asiana Airlines, with it being a 12-year-old aircraft, set in a two-class configuration. It has not flown since 19th February after the United 328 incident, where Boeing recommended worldwide grounding of all 128 of its Boeing 777-200 series aircraft equipped with Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines.
