It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
This week, we have a Delta Airbus A330-200 landing at London Heathrow Airport after completing the long haul journey from the USA to the UK.
Delta Air Lines operates 11 of the range-optimised Airbus A330-200 aircraft in its long haul fleet. The airline also operates the payload optimised Airbus A330-300 and the new generation Airbus A330-900neo. In addition, the airline also operates the Airbus A350-900, Boeing 757-200, Boeing 767-300ER and Boeing 767-400ER in its long-haul fleet.
This aircraft – N855NW – initially flew in October 2004 for Northwest Airlines. It joined the Delta Air Lines fleet when Northwest and Delta merged in 2009.
However, the pandemic has forced this aircraft to be parked since March 2020, where it awaits reactivation when the passenger flows return.
More Airplane art next week!
