It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a SWISS International Air Lines Airbus A321 arriving at Dublin Airport, as it completes the journey from its base of Zurich Airport.
SWISS operates a fleet of 8 Airbus A321 aircraft – five A321-100 and three A321-200. The airline also operates the Airbus A220-100, Airbus A220-300, Airbus A319, Airbus A320, A320neo and Airbus A321neo in its short to medium-haul fleet.
This aircraft – HB-IOK – originally joined the Swissair fleet in March 1999. The aircraft was transferred to the Swiss International Airlines certificate in March 2002. It remained in the fleet until February 2021, where it was stored. It was re-registered as OE-IOS, returned from lease and stored, pending its fate.
