The airline is planning to operate 28 flights a week to the UK from Sunday 8th August.
It will operate the following:
- Abu Dhabi – London Heathrow – Three Times Daily
- Abu Dhabi – Manchester Airport – Three Times Daily
All flights will be operated by an Etihad Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Booking is open for these flights, with Etihad supporting its customers through all its channels. The airline also has its wellness programme supporting its cleaning and hygiene operations at www.etihad.com/wellness.
As a reminder, from the United Arab Emirates, the UK Government has adjusted moving the country from its Red List to Amber List. As such:
Amber List arrivals to the United Kingdom require different requirements depending on your vaccination status
- Vaticinated travellers require a pre-departure test, a passenger locator form completed and a Day 2 PCR test
- Unvaccinated/Partially Vaccinated travellers will require a pre-departure test, a passenger locator form completed and a Day 2 PCR test, as well as Self-Isolating for up to 10 days and a Day 8 test.
Note, that passengers who had their vaccine administered in the UK, US or Europe are exempt from quarantine and the day eight test. Passengers who have been vaccinated from other territories will need to go through additional isolation and testing.
And there’s more
Yesterday, I had some important travelling to do. There are two or three announcements I have to work through yet.
But with the entry changes coming in on Sunday to the UK, airlines are reacting and adding capacity back.
Just ensure you meet the entry criteria, if you want to bypass the isolation requirements.
