The Dallas Fort Worth route will increase Turkish Airlines coverage to 11 destinations in the United States of America. It will also be the second destination that Turkish Airlines will operate to in Texas. The route is due to commence on Friday, September 24, 2021. The global airline will service four flights per week between Istanbul and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

Planned operation is as follows:

TK191 DEPART IST 14:10 ARRIVE DFW 18:55
TK192 DEPART DFW 20:25 ARRIVE IST 15:50+1
Commences 24th September 2021
Operates Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
Booked Equipment: Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

Turkish Airlines have booked a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on this route, which has 30 Business Class flat-bed seats and 270 Economy Seats on this route.

In terms of passenger experience, Premium onboard dining has resumed, including hot meals and beverage services, which were previously restricted due to the pandemic, has been resumed for all Business and Economy Class flights longer than two hours and 15 minutes.

Versace amenity kits and active noise cancelling Denon headphones are also available for international Business Class flights.

Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, M. İlker Aycı stated:

“With the opening of our 11th US gateway, we look forward to welcoming travelers aboard this new route to experience our world-class service, award-winning cuisine and world-famous Turkish hospitality. We continue to make health and safety a top priority for our passengers and employees and maintain a strong commitment to keeping the world connected through our expanded North American presence.”

Sean Donohue, Chief Executive Officer, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport said:

“DFW Airport is committed to connecting its customers to destinations all across the world. Welcoming Turkish Airlines as our newest international partner underscores that commitment. This new flight enables DFW customers to travel directly to Istanbul and then directly to destinations across five continents,” said

Building out the network

With the addition of Dallas, Turkish Airlines have now scaled their operation to 326 destinations in 127 countries spanning five continents – an impressive network indeed.

The important part will be for Turkish Airlines to maintain the passenger flows and density (thus revenue) as they come out of the pandemic.

After all – a strong network is nothing without the passengers to fly aboard it.
