Jetstar is the latest customer of Recaro Aircraft Seating taking on the BL3710 seat for its Airbus A321neo aircraft.

This follows on from the BL3530 seat, which is currently being used on Jetstar’s Airbus A320 fleet.

Jetstar will operate their Airbus A321neo in a 232 seat configuration, with seats pitched at 29 inches. Seat width is a generous 18″ wide, featuring tapered armrests to maximize personal space. The seat also features individual tablet holders and in-seat USB power.

These seats will be delivered with deliveries to Jetstar in 2022, marking the first time the BL3710 seat has been used in the Asia-Pacific Region.

A long partnership

Qantas Group and Recaro have been partners for over 15 years, with Qantas leaning on them for products to suit their onboard product.

With its Australian route network expansion, the BL3710 allows for Jetstar to prioritise passenger comfort without compromising on weight, with the BL3710 coming in at under 10kg a seat – a difference that adds up when it comes to the long term flying (as seat weight is an important part of the makeup of a weight of an aircraft, and the fuel to power it.
