With the 8th of November coming closer and closer, Virgin Atlantic is preparing a major network ramp up for US-bound travellers.

What routes are returning?
London Heathrow and Manchester to Orlando is first up, resuming on the 8th for those of you who want to be friends with the theme parks in the same area. Services to Orlando will depart daily from both London Heathrow and Manchester.
Those who prefer the adult theme park – the London Heathrow to Las Vegas will resume the same day. Las Vegas flights will operate daily from London Heathrow on the airline’s Boeing 787-9
Manchester to New York-JFK will also resume on the 8th of November, providing a connection from the North of England to the Big Apple. Daily services from Manchester to New York resuming on an Airbus A330.
According to Virgin Atlantic, the Orlando route is currently the most booked across Virgin Atlantic’s global portfolio, reaffirming the pent-up demand for families and thrill-seekers to enjoy the magic of Florida’s top destination.
To meet with the increased demand, the airline will deploy the newest, largest plane in its fleet, the Airbus A350-100 from the 8th -14th November on its Heathrow to Orlando route.

Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, commented;
“Our customers are ready to begin their US adventures, whether it’s to enjoy the magic of Orlando or to party the night away in Las Vegas, therefore it’s only right that we offer them the opportunity to fly as soon as we can. I’m delighted that our Orlando and Las Vegas services will begin on 8 November, the same day transatlantic travel reopens. We can’t wait to transport customers to our favourite destinations in the US safely once more.”
Putting the name of the airline into good use
Let us not forget one important thing about Virgin Atlantic – it has heavily invested in its USA Network before March 2020 – with its network east of London being limited in comparison.
It seems that with the USA opening back up to vaccinated travellers, Virgin Atlantic wants to put itself all over the pond again and get passengers travelling (and thus help its bottom line).
It will take time, but the airline is adding capacity where it needs it – and there is plenty of pent-up demand it seems for people to travel, to relax, to trade and to reconnect with each other.
There will be two tricks – ensuring demand is still there after the initial wonder of travelling to the US levels out and if any other government regulations come into play that will restrict movement.
