If it’s Christmas, it must be time for some more engineering works.
Well – what do you expect at Christmas. It seems there is major work on the line that connects London Paddington and Heathrow, as well as between Acton Town and Heathrow Terminals

Alternative Methods
For those of you who rely on the London Underground, the next best method will be TfL Rail services. Alternatively, you might want to pre-book a Heathrow Express ticket Check when they depart – as there is up to a 30-minute headway in some cases.
On the 25th and 26th of December, there will be no rail or tube connectivity to Heathrow. You will need to use a replacement bus or coach to/from Hammersmith, other coach services, or taxi and private hire vehicle services.
And there’s always National Express if you get desperate.
Get planning
I’m a little late with this post (as I’ve been driving and having a day off from… everything yesterday).
It goes without saying, you should plan ahead, using the Transport for London or National Rail journey planners to ensure that you can get from A to B.
And remember, if you’re getting someone to pick you up from Heathrow Airport the circulation/pickup/drop off charge is in effect.
