It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have British Airways Boeing 777-300ER at its home base of London Heathrow being towed away from the Central Terminal area and Terminal 5 over to the maintenance pads.
British Airways operates a fleet of 16 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in its long-haul fleet. The airline also operates the Airbus A350-1000, Airbus A380, Boeing 777-200ER, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 787-10 in their long haul fleet
Together with its short-to-medium haul Airbus family aircraft, they connect London Heathrow to the world.
This aircraft G-STBG joined the British Airways fleet in September 2013, making it over 8 years old. It is currently in-service with the airline, operating recently to New York, Lagos, San Francisco and Chicago.
More Airplane Art next week!
Photographers Notes:
- Camera: Canon EOS R
- Lens: Canon EF 50mm F1.2 with RF to EF Adaptor
- Settings ISO 3200, 50mm 1/20 at f1.2
- Shot from the British Airways Galleries Business Lounge, Terminal 3. Review here.
- Shot in December 2019
- And if you think this shot was easy to get… it wasn’t. This was a case of a lens hood, being my own image stabilised mount (as the lens or camera doesn’t have Image Stabilisation) and hoping for the right shot at the right moment.
