British Airways to offer Aviation American Gin aboard

18/03/2022 by Kevincm

It seems British Airways is tapping into Ryan Reynolds star-power, with the airline to offer Aviation American Gin aboard its flights.

Passengers flying across the Atlantic and all other long-haul routes will be offered it from the in-flight menu. Meanwhile, those who want to try it on short-haul can purchase it as part of the on-board Speedbird café programme for £6 a 50ml bottle (mixers extra).

The partnership between toe two – with the Aviation Gin bar in the airline’s Club Lounge in JFK airport in October 2021.

According to British Airways and Aviation American Gin, the gin is infused with a democratic blend of botanicals – cardamom, coriander, French lavender, anise seed, sarsaparilla, juniper, and two kinds of orange peel to create a smoother, softer, more refined take on gin.

There’s a video

Take it away Ryan. It seems to be a better safety video than has been published for some time.

Tom Stevens, British Airways’ Director of Brand and Customer Experience said:

“Offering our customers a premium experience throughout their journey is important to us.  Partnering with Aviation American Gin is another great addition to our on-board service.

Gareth Williams, International Brand Director at Aviation American Gin said:

“We hope our customers join us in celebrating, with a refreshing gin and tonic.”

“We’re so excited to get on board with the UK flag carrier British Airways and take Aviation American Gin to new heights – the sky! Through this partnership, we’re keen to enhance each traveller’s experience with a deliciously refreshing Aviation Gin cocktail for flyers to enjoy on journeys near and far, offering an American twist on this quintessentially British drink!”

More choice in the air

For those flying and need that Gin and Tonic to get them through either the long or short haul flight (and let us face it, on a Friday afternoon on a flight home or after a long business day), it is nice to have another option in the air, with the airline offering Whitley Neill Blackberry Gin, Tanqueray Gin and Pinkster Pink Gin on its short-haul segments via SpeedBird Cafe.

Long Haul may offer different items for those who need them.

But it’s nice to have a choice of Gin to help wind down after a long week.
