It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Japan Airlines Boeing 787-9 at Helsinki Vantaa Airport as it prepares for the long trip back to Tokyo, Japan.
Japan Airlines operates a fleet of 33 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The airline also operates the Boeing 777-200ER, Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in its long-haul fleet. The airline will be adding the Airbus A350-1000 to its long-haul fleet in the future, flying with the classic tsurumaru “circle crane” on the vertical stabilizer
These aircraft connect Japan to the world, as the nation slowly reopens up.
This aircraft – JA868J – joined the Japan Airlines fleet in March 2017, where had remained placed with the airline. In recent weeks, it has been based out of Tokyo Haneda, operating services to Helsinki, Paris, Honolulu and San Francisco.
More Airplane Art Next week!
