It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Lufthansa Boeing 747-8i taxing at Chicago O’Hare International Airport in classic Blue, Yellow and White after it completed the transatlantic journey from Frankfurt Airport.
Lufthansa operates a fleet of 19 Boeing 747-8i in its long-haul operation. The airline also operates the Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330-300, Airbus A340-300, Airbus A340-600, Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 747-400.
The airline will receive the Boeing 787-9 in its fleet shortly, with the Boeing 777X to follow. In addition, the airline will bring back the Airbus A380 for its Summer 2023 season,
This aircraft – D-ABYG – joined the Lufthansa fleet in March 2013. It has remained in the Lufthansa fleet since then. It has recently been operating out of its Frankfurt base to Miami, Washington Dulles and San Francisco.
