Aer Lingus is continuing to boost its Summer 2023 network, with the airline returning the Bradley International Airport, Connecticut to Dublin, Ireland route for Summer 2023.

The route will commence on 26th March 2023. The service will operate daily through October and offer connectivity to 28 key UK and European airports, with a view that the service is expected to operate annually on a seasonal basis until year-round demand is realized from the return of business travel.
Hartford marks Aer Lingus’ 16th transatlantic route from Ireland.
Aer Lingus started its operations at Bradley International Airport in 2016. It was suspended in 2020 for pandemic reasons. The airline will utilise a two-class Airbus A321LR on this route, with both business and economy class seating.

The numbers
Lead-in prices have been announced, starting at €199 one way, or US$459 (return) to Ireland and US$659 to European destinations (return).
Restoring the network
Whilst this is Aer Lingus’s 16th transatlantic network route, it also marks a sign that the network is preparing to return to a sense of normality after a rocky two and a bit years, with destinations that were served in the past that were on the edge now being returned (as I discussed in the Air India route changes to Birmingham), whilst channelling the passengers through its Dublin hub.
Aer Lingus will be the Bradley International Airport’s sole connection into Europe – much like the Cleveland route the airline recently announced, with other options forcing a change at one of the major airline hubs.
With an easy connection to Europe and easy navigation at Dublin Airport, it could be a tempting option for passengers in the region.

I really hope Aer Lingus will look at new destinations here in the US soon, we’d love to see them in Tampa. We have BA to Gatwick, but that offers limited connectivity, and Lufthansa Eurowings Discover Whatever to Frankfurt, but it’s pricey. As is parking in Orlando.
