The great writer’s block of September was unblocked, and I managed to get the final five parts of this adventure. Hopefully, by the time I hit publish, I’ll have much tidying work done on it tonight.

Routes and Networks

• Air India prepares to scale up its Birmingham UK operation – Increases to services to Birmingham
• Aer Lingus to return to Bradley International Airport, Connecticut – Time to add to the network

New Aircraft News

• China Airlines signs for Boeing up to 24 Dreamliners – Replacements for the Airbus A330-200 fleet
• 500 Up – Airbus delivers its 500th Airbus A350 to Iberia – And then, there were 500.

Passenger Experience

• Austrian Airlines to add additional Premium Economy Seats – Time to rip out some business class seats and put premium economy seats in.

Change on the Rail

• Changes ahead for the Caledonian Sleeper – Operator change ahead. Seems like someone wasn’t making enough money.

Rail Strikes

There had a few rail strikes over the past few weeks. Expect the disputes to drag on until both sides can sort themselves out.

• It’s another rail strike (5th October)
• Slamming into the Buffers – another National Rail Strike (8th October)
