It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Lufthansa Airbus A320-200 coming in to land at Dublin Airport after completing the short hop over from Germany.
Lufthansa operates 43 Airbus A320-200 aircraft in its short to medium-haul fleet. They are supplemented by Airbus A319, Airbus A321, Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo. The aircraft depicted is fitted with Sharklets as opposed to the usual wingtip fences.
These aircraft connect to Lufthansa’s hubs at Munch and Frankfurt, allowing passengers to connect to destinations around the world.
This aircraft – D-AIUT – was initially delivered to Lufthansa in May 2016. It was stored during the pandemic. It was reactivated and transferred to Eurowings Discover in May 2022, where it remains in the fleet.
It has primarily been operating out of its Munich home to Rhodes, Hurghada, Ibiza, Chania, Heraklion, Kos and Antalya over the past week.
More Airplane Art next week!
