The airline will launch the direct service on 6 November 2022.

The African airline has been operating flights to London via Brussels for the past five years. From next month this will be replaced by a direct service to meet the demand from its customers

Planned operations are as follows:

DEPART KGL 23:25 ARRIVE LHR 06:20+1
DEPART LHR 20:30 ARRIVE KGL 07:00

Direct service commences 6th November 2022
Operates Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from Kigali
Operates Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from London Heathrow
Booked Equipment: Airbus A330

RwandAir will utilise an Airbus A330 on this route, with the airline operating both an Airbus A330-200 and Airbus A330-300 in its operation.

Business and Economy Class will offer a two-class service on board.

The airlines’ schedule should allow for easy connections through Kigali and onto a wealth of destinations in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, with the airline operating to 28 destinations across East, Central, West, and Southern Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, with a fleet of 12 aircraft.

Five years serving London

The airline has flown between London and Kigali since May 2017 via an indirect service through Brussels, having launched flights from London Gatwick on 26 May 2017.

In 2020, after three successful years of operations, the African carrier airline decided to switch flights to the UK’s busiest airport London Heathrow, helping to improve connections for those travelling from further afield.
