It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Finnair Airbus A330-300 in Marimekko livery featuring the “Unikko” pattern, as it completes the journey from Helsinki Vantaa to Chicago O’Hare International.
Finnair operates a fleet of eight Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which are in the process of being refitted with the Collins Aerospace AirLounge product, along with other refits to the cabin to allow for Premium Economy to be installed. The airline also operates 17 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, forming the backbone of its long-haul operation.
This aircraft – OH-LTO – is painted with the Unikko Marremeko pattern. It joined the Finnair fleet in May 2009, with it remaining in the fleet since then. It was stored between November 2020 to March 2022 due to traffic downturns thanks to the pandemic.
It has been very active recently, operating out of both its home base of Helsinki Vantaa and Stockholm Arlanda, with it operating to Doha (from Stockholm) and New York JFK (from Helsinki).
More Airplane Art next week!
