Gatwick Airport is gaining a significant boost in connectivity, as Emirates operates an Airbus A380 three times daily.

The third daily A380 flight comes as the world heads into the festive season rush period, where people are seeking to be with their loved ones.
The additional frequency will offer enhanced capacity with more than 1,000 seats to/from Gatwick to Dubai every day. It represents a part of the scale-up between Dubai and the United Kingdom, with the airline servicing seven airports. They include:
- London Heathrow – Six times daily
- London Gatwick – Three times daily
- London Stansted – Daily Service
- Manchester Airport – Three times daily
- Birmingham Airport – Twice daily
- Newcastle Airport – Daily service
- Glasgow Airport – Dialy service
In total, the airline offers 119 flights between Dubai and the United Kingdom, offering onward connectivity via the Dubai hub.
A key winter season
With the first proper winter season after restrictions on and off for the past two years, this festive and holiday period is key to any airline as they seek to sustain themselves through to the spring (especially with high inflation and cost of living troubles across the globe).
The desire to connect with people is a strong one – so hopefully, Emirates will ride through these bumps as it seeks to make hay whilst the sun shines.
