Growth is back on the agenda with Lufthansa, with the airline planning to offer new and returning destinations on its European network.
And maybe a little beyond.
From Frankfurt

There’s going to be some interesting growth, with Belfast City Airport joining the network with a four-times-a-week being added. Meanwhile, for those in South London, there’s good news with London Gatwick being an option with a twice-daily service.
Lufthansa will connect a total of eleven destinations in Great Britain and Northern Ireland from 23 April.
Asturias, situated on Spain’s Atlantic coast is also new to the flight schedule, with a three-times weekly service.
Meanwhile, Skopje will be served for the first time from 23 April and will connect the capital of northern Macedonia with up to two flights a day.
Finally, for those who want Atlantic fun, but with a french twist, the airline will add Biarritz for the first time from 29 April, with a Saturday-only service.
From Munich

Asturias gets a look in for the summer season from Munich as well – with the airline operating a Saturday-only service.
Meanwhile, Bordeaux will gain a three time a week service from 25 April.
Finally, Rzeszów will return to the Lufthansa network with a daily flight from the 23rd of April.
And some long haul too
For those seeking to avoid changing planes in Frankfurt, and preferring to swap in Munich, there’s good news as two long haul routes return
Osaka will return to the schedule, operating three times a week from 2nd May with an Airbus A350.
Not to be outdone, Mexico City will also make its return from the 2nd of June, operating three times a week, featuring an Airbus A350.
A busy summer ahead.
Lufthansa is still building out its network, with the airline planning to offer more than 205 destinations worldwide – almost as many as before the pandemic.
The number of connections from Frankfurt and Munich reaches 5,200 weekly frequencies, up to 87 per cent of the pre-crisis level.
For Lufthansa, building out its connections and network is important – like any airline that relies on driving traffic to hits hubs and getting people onto their next flight. There are lots of interesting additions for those who are looking for new places to visit in 2023 it seems.
