British Airways snuck out some news before the end of the year presses closed, with the airline planning to launch a route to Florence, Italy.

The new route will kick off on the 16th of April 2023, operating daily from London Heathrow Terminal 5 to Florence Italy.
The planned operation is as follows:

British Airways plans to utilise an Airbus A320neo on this route in a two-class configuration. With an A320neo, British Airways will offer up to 180 economy seats, this will vary due to the amount of Club Europe seats being sold.
Florence will be one of 11 Italian cities served by British Airways from London Heathrow in Summer 2023, including Rome, Milan, Venice and Naples, with the timings optimised for North American connections (if you make it in the first bank of flights in the morning).
The London Heathrow to Florence flight joins a host of new routes starting in the Summer 2023 season, such as London Gatwick to Aruba and Guyana, and London Heathrow to Cincinnati, Ohio.
