American Airlines will restart three of its popular transatlantic routes this spring, bringing daily flights to Dallas/Fort Worth, Charlotte and Chicago back for Irish travellers.

These will operate on a seasonal basis. The restart dates are

  • Dublin – Dallas/Fort Worth – 4th April 2023
  • Dublin – Charlotte – 4th May 2023
  • Dublin – Chicago – 1st June 2023

The seasonal routes will operate until 27th October 2023, with American Airlines Dublin to Philadelphia route continuing throughout the year.

According to the airline, demand for flights between Ireland and North America continues to grow, and the return of these additional three seasonal daily flights, alongside its year-round service to Philadelphia, will provide over 1,000 daily seats for customers flying to the U.S.

Kyle Mabry, American Airlines Vice President of Operations and Commercial, EMEA and APAC, said:

“We’re thrilled to be bringing back flights between Dublin and three of our key hubs, providing travellers with the perfect summer gateways in the U.S. and beyond,”

“As we continue expanding our European network, we hope travelers are able to discover new destinations around the world, from the Stockyards in Fort Worth to the beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.”

Feeding the hubs, feeding the network

With American Airlines adding routes to and from Dublin, it will add capacity and connectivity out of the Irish hub, with options for easy connections across the network.

And there are big options, as the airline plans to operate more than 800 daily flights at Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), 600 daily flights in Charlotte (CLT), and 350 daily flights in Chicago (ORD), connecting Dublin with more than 200 destinations around the world.

For passengers heading to the Americas, it’s going to be an enticing option.
