Another day, another Airbus A321neo operator – with Egyptair being the latest carrier to take delivery of the type.
The delivery to Egyptair marks the first airline in the African continent to be an operator of the Airbus A321.

Interior photos were not released at the time of press – although they’ll probably be on the internet sooner rather than later.
This aircraft joins Egyptair’s Airbus fleet of 12 A220s, 8 A320neos, 2 A320ceos 4 A330-200 and 4 A330-300, with the airline due to lease seven of the type.
Pushing SAF usage
The delivery flight from Hamburg to Cairo was powered by a 34 per cent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blend, as Airbus and the aviation industry seek to reduce their reliance on traditional kerosene-based fuel (and as we continue to march to the land of net zero by 2050.
Currently, all Airbus commercial aircraft are capable of flying with an up to 50 per cent SAF blend mixed with kerosene and are targeted to be capable for 100 per cent SAF use in flight by the end of this decade. Since March 2021, Airbus has successfully accomplished 100 per cent SAF test flights on A319neo, A350 and A380 aircraft.
