It’s time to play “Terminal shuffle” again at Heathrow Airport, with Air France and KLM moving out of its “temporary” home over Terminal 3, back to their old stomping grounds of Terminal 4.
The move goes into effect on Thursday 23rd March.
Both airlines will utilise Zone H in the terminal.
Existing Minimin Connection times will still be in force, allowing for a 90-minute change at Heathrow if needed. Air France and KLM will join fellow SkyTeam colleagues China Eastern Airlines, ITA Airways, Kenya Airways, Korean Air, Saudia, TAROM and Vietnam Airlines.
If you’re planning to connect with Aeroméxico. China Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Middle East Airlines or Virgin Atlantic, you will need to take a bus to Terminal 3.
For those seeking a lounge, the SkyTeam lounge that was in T4 has long since shut. Reading on the SkyTeam site, it looks like you’ll be diverted to the Plaza Premium Lounge.
Ground-side connectivity at Terminal 4 includes The Elizabeth Line, a Heathrow Express Transfer Service, London Underground, Buses and Taxis.
Check your terminal
It goes without saying – always check the terminal you are to depart from before you fly.
Heathrow loves to play with these sorts of changes (and normally puts out a lot of signage), but double-check before you go.
The airport has a guide at Which terminal | Heathrow.
If you’re transferring onward, make sure you allow enough time. An MCT of 90 minutes is tight at Heathrow on the best of days.
