It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a British Airways Airbus A380 at the C Gates at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 as it is prepared for the long-haul trip to Chicago O’Hare International.
British Airways have a fleet of 12 Airbus A380 aircraft in its fleet (with them all reactivated after being stored). They support the airline’s long-haul operation, which also uses the Airbus A350-1000, Boeing 777-200ER, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 787-10.
These all hub at the airlines home of London Heathrow Airport (and occasionally, Gatwick Airport), providing long-haul connectivity for both connecting and local traffic,
This aircraft – G-XLEH – joined the British Airways fleet in October 2014. It has remained in the British Airways fleet for its life (apart from being stored between March 2020 to April 2022. It has been flying mainly on the airlines North America network recently, operating from its London Heathrow base to Los Angeles, Johannesburg Washington Dulles, Chicago O’Hare and San Francisco.
More Airplane Art Next Week!
