It seems Lufthansa is taking Berlin Brandenburg Airport a little more seriously, with the airline announcing it is to open two lounges at the airport.
Two lounges will open at the airport on the 3rd of April – a Lufthansa Business Lounge and a Senators Lounge. The Business lounge has been through a refresh, whilst the Senator lounge is a new facility. The new lounges are described as “Cinema, culinary and art concept”.
In the new business lounge, guests can sit back comfortably in the TV club and enjoy classical music, concert broadcasts and films, or relax in one of the comfortable armchairs while taking a look at one of the high-quality coffee-table books.

The Senator lounge is going with “the room concept”, featuring a steam fireplace. This is to offer conditions for its passenger for feeling good, relaxing and working. A new digital art concept invites lounge guests to help design the art in the lounge themselves via an app.

In addition, a separate retreat with plenty of privacy is available to HON Circle members.
Both lounges will offer food options for their visitors. In the morning, there are various healthy breakfast options to choose from, and during the day, vegetarian and vegan dishes, among others – combined with a large selection of exclusive hot and cold drinks.
The lounges will be open depending on the status level and ticket. Senator lounges are typically restricted to Lufthansa Senators and Star Alliance Gold members. Business lounges are valuable to business class passengers, Lufthansa Frequent Travellers as well as Senators and Star Alliance Gold.
Luthansa’s access rules are here, along with options for those who are accompanying you.
