It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Spirit Airbus A319 banking as it departs Chicago O’Hare International Airport on a grey Spring Saturday.
Spirit operate a fleet of 26 Airbus A319 aircraft in its fleet. The airline also operates the larger Airbus A320, Airbus A321 and Airbus A320neo. The airline is also expecting Airbus A319neo and A321neo aircraft for its fleet.
This aircraft – N535NK is a 12-year-old aircraft. It was initially delivered to Volaris in August 2010 and went into storage in July 2016. The aircraft was re-delivered to Spirit in May 2017, where it has remained in the fleet since then.
The aircraft has operated out of many airports over the past week, with flying to Orlando, Port Columbus, Medellin, Chicago O’Hare, St. Thomas, Charleston, Detroit, Nashville, Santo Domingo, Dallas-Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Fort Myers, Miami, Boston, Myrtle Beach, Guatemala City, Indianapolis and more.
