It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for more Airplane Art.
This week, we’re going to have a freighter for something a little different. We have a China Airlines Cargo Boeing 747-400F climbing out of Chicago O’Hare International as it prepares to head west to Anchorage and beyond.
China Airlines Cargo (the cargo division of Tawain-based China Airlines) operates a fleet of 16 Boeing 747-400F freighters. The airline also operates the Boeing 777-F in its cargo fleet. In addition, China Airlines Cargo has access to the belly of its passenger fleet to allow the airline to ship cargo across the world.
This aircraft – B-18716 – joined the China Airlines Cargo fleet in December 2003, as a freighter built by Boeing (and not converted from an existing Boeing 747-400).
It has been operating across North America and Asia out of its Taipei hub, operating to Chicago, Anchorage, Seattle, Hong Kong and Osaka amongst other destinations.
More Airplane Art next week!
