It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have an Austrian Airlines Boeing 777-200ER on final approach to Chicago O’Hare International Airport after it completes the long journey from its home base of Vienna.
Austrian Airlines operates a fleet of six Boeing 777-200ER aircraft in its long-haul fleet. The airline also operates the Boeing 767-300ER in its operation.
Both of these types won’t be long for the world, as Austrian Airlines prepares to swap its long haul fleet for new Boeing 787-9 aircraft. These are due to start arriving in 2024, with deliveries until 2028 to replace the legacy long haul fleet.
These aircraft connect Vienna destinations across the world, with onward connectivity provided by Airbus single-aisle aircraft.
More Airplane Art next week!
