In a sign we’re getting closer to Airshow season, Air Algérie, the national airline of Algeria, has signed a firm order for seven widebody aircraft.
The airline has signed for both the Airbus A350-1000 and Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, split by five A330-900s and two A350-1000s
The order will allow Air Algérie to take full advantage of the flexibility of the Airbus product range, strengthen its regional services and offer an ambitious plan for transcontinental destinations.
The A330neo and the A350 also feature the Airspace cabin, which offers passengers a high level of comfort, ambience, and design. This includes more individual space, enlarged overhead bins, a new lighting system and access to the latest in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems.
Interiors suppliers have not been announced at this time, although it has been indicated that deliveries will commence in 2025.
Current fleet
The carrier currently uses eight Airbus A330-200 aircraft in its long-haul fleet, whilst using the Boeing 737 Next Gen aircraft in its short-haul fleet (with the Boeing 737 MAX to come) and ATR Aircraft in its regional operation.
