The bespoke bar, which will exclusively offer Caves d’Esclans’ Whispering Angel rosé, will be located in the airline’s lounge at Terminal 5 B at London Heathrow.
The bar, coloured pale pink to emulate the light tones of the rosé served, is expected to open this summer. The opening will coincide with a refresh of the airline’s B gates lounge which will include new and reupholstered furniture, as well as a refreshed layout.
The Pale Rose beverage will also be available across British Airways London lounges at Heathrow and Gatwick Whispering Angel is currently available in British Airways First and Club (business class) lounges.
According to the bumpf “Château d’Esclans’ Whispering Angel boasts a delicate Provençal pink hue, spoiling customer with sun-kissed creamy flavours of peach and raspberries, with refreshing citrus undertones and a smooth, dry finish.”.

The little line they thought they got away with…
Although good luck finding a glass that size in the main Galleries lounges.
There’s one important line in the press release – and that’s the refresh of the lounge at Terminal 5B is going ahead.
Whilst the lounge at T5B is typically the quietest at Heathrow, – there’s a good reason, as you have to be departing either the B or C gates to use the lounge, it also seems to be the first of the Heathrow lounges to get a refresh,
And this can only bode well for the South and North lounges which… if we’re being honest, are starting to look a little tired. Whilst they’re no Cathay Pacific or Qantas lounge, a refresh could well be welcome for the main lounges, to ensure the passenger experience is more than passable in the longer term.
As for the bubbles, we’ll have to see when they land in the lounge…
