Emirates to add its Premium Economy product to two routes to India

Emirates is continuing to drive forward its Premium Economy offering, with the airline planning to offer it on two routes to India, operated by an Airbus A380.

Initially, the airline will offer two routes with the A380 with premium economy products – Mumbai and Bengaluru, starting 29 October.

Emirates will operate its newly retrofitted flagship A380 aircraft to these two Indian points, which will feature the new Premium Economy seats and refreshed interiors in other classes. 

This will apply to the Dubai-Mumbai route on EK500/501 and Dubai and Bengaluru on EK568/569.

Seats can be booked via the usual Emirates sales channels, with the new product available for travel from 29 October.

You’ll need to check for a four-class configuration for the Premium Economy product. It currently 

Premium Economy already features on flights to nine destinations globally, including US points New York JFK, San Francisco and Houston, in addition to London Heathrow, Sydney, Auckland, Christchurch, Melbourne and Singapore.

Premium Economy cabins will also debut in Los Angeles in July, bringing the number of routes offering the product to 12 by the end of 2023.

The Seat 

Emirates utilises a custom version of the Recaro PL3530, with it finished in the airlines’ leathers and panelling.

It offers a seat pitch of up to 40 inches, at 19.5 inches wide, reclining 8 inches. The seat features accessible in-seat charging points, a wide dining table and a side cocktail table. IFE is provisioned with a 13.3-inch personal seat-back screen.

Aboard the Airbus A380, it is configured in an eight-across layout, in a 2-4-2 formation.
