For those that like building, as well as a classic aircraft, there is good news as Lego is preparing to release a Concorde model under the “Lego Icons” umbrella.
I’m not going into the history of this aircraft – it’s very well documented already. This model will depict Concorde in her roll-out and first-flight livery before deliveries commend to British Airways and Air France.
According to Lego,
“Just like the real-life Anglo-French passenger jet, this detailed replica model has a tiltable droop nose, functioning landing gear, a retractable tail bumper wheel, delta wings with movable elevons and hinged upper and lower rudders. It also features an accessible seating area and comes with a stand for display in flight, takeoff or landing modes. “
The drooped nose.
And the accurate Passenger Experience inside.
The Instagram video gives you an impression of how large the model is:

It measures over 15 cm (6 in.) high, 105 cm (41.5 in.) long and 43 cm (17 in.) wide.
Age Aim
This Lego set is targeted more at Adults, with Lego recommending it for ages 18+. It might have something to do with that there are lots of small pieces… and it has got 2083 pieces inside.
Pricing
The set is priced at $199.99 / £169.99/ €199.99.
It will be available to LEGO VIPs from 4th September 2023 and to everyone from 7th September 2023.
Am I going to buy this?
For those who love Lego and this wonderful aircraft, I can imagine more than a few people will be clicking “Add to Cart” when it comes out.
As for me, let me put it like this. I’m a Lego VIP. I might have more than a little interest in this…
I just have to make room for it.
